Q&As with Stephanie Perry

You’ve been at CBE Companies since 2004. Tell us about your journey.

It has been a journey of growth. Looking back over the years, I have held roles in 3rd party operations, 1st party operations, and even spent time as a trainer. No matter what role I was in, the people I’ve been able to work with have taught me so much about myself and the collection industry. I am forever grateful for my CBE family.

How has your experience in Operations helped you in your role today?

When I get to connect with a potential partner and discuss what it takes to move the needle, there is a common bond shared. It truly does take hands on experience to understand all the inner workings of what it takes to perform not only well, but consistently in an industry that always throwing curve balls. I never feel like a “Sales Executive” selling CBE – I take the approach of an industry peer that genuinely wants to help our partners.

What does a typical work day look like for you as CBE’s Client Relationship Manager?

Working with our management team, I keep an eye on CBE’s performance and reach out as needed to ensure everyone is satisfied. Some days are smoother than others but working through client issues is another area my operations background is very helpful. The best days are when I get to speak with happy clients and fortunately that’s often.    

When you’re not at work, how do you like to spend your free time?

With my boys! My husband and I have 4 boys, ages 4-11 that keep us VERY busy. We enjoy movies, working on old cars, playing out at my parent’s acreage, watching the boys ride dirt bikes. When I get time with the girls, we usually end up getting Mexican food and margaritas.

What is one thing people may not know about Stephanie Perry?

I don’t mind getting my hands dirty. I bought and helped restore a 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with my father, husband and boys. Body work is where I shine, but I do a little bit of everything.

Stephanie, you’re on CBE’s Partners in Education committee. What do you enjoy most about your experience?

Giving back to the schools in our community that may not always get what they need is beyond rewarding. We spend a lot of time with the kids and being able to see the difference we’re making is hard to put into words.
