Leading the Way in Supporting Our Communities

“Doing the Right Thing” is an integral part of our culture that protects our clients, but also extends outside of our offices and business hours. As a company and individual employees, we focus on providing our time, talents, and financial resources to support local charities and community organizations in towns and cities near our offices.

CBE’s Social and Philanthropic Initiatives

A few examples of our community support programs include:

CBE Cares

Employees donate money for a monthly chance to win 1 of 10 Mental Health Days (paid time off); winners can forfeit their Mental Health Day in favor of drawing another employee’s name or donate their Mental Health Day to another employee. Every year CBE will award a total 120 days of paid time off to selected employees. Our amazing employees donate over $15,000 to designated groups every quarter!

United Way Annual Fundraiser

The month of October is dedicated to raising funds for the United Way. Historically, our employees raise an average annual donation of $50,000.

Partners in Education and School Support

We sponsor great educational opportunities in local elementary schools. This includes bringing Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me program to schools. Our employees also participate in buddy programs, fundraisers, back-to-school supply collections, and mentoring students through the Junior Achievement program.

Other Philanthropic Efforts

Our employees also regularly adopt families over the holidays and stay involved in local business communities. They also support food banks, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club, House of Hope Women’s Shelter, and Salvation Army.

Creating a sustainable growth plan for CBE’s DEI efforts

CBE has created internal systems and policies that allow diversity, equity, and inclusion to grow and flourish. These systems include a DEI Committee & Advisory Committee, DEI framework, and employee resource groups. These groups have begun a deep dive into our HR processes and established measurable goals and clearly defined key performance indicators. Additionally, CBE has implemented a cultural holiday that gives every full-time US employee eight paid hours each year they can take to celebrate culture however they choose.

  • We award one (1) larger donation each quarter. We will select one organization to award and support from each quarter’s applicants. (Note: Organizations are only eligible to receive money once a year unless no other qualified applications have been received.)
  • The awarded organizations will also receive volunteer support from CBE employees during the quarter they receive their donation, if needed.
